This weekend, Yas Island is all set to hosts the UAE’s first and largest festival for kids ‘Yas Kidz Fest ‘ from 21st to 23rd February at du Arena.
What Is It?
Yas Kidz Fest is the UAE’s first and largest festival which is dedicated to kids and will commence from 21st to 23rd February at the du Arena in Yas Island. The arena will be completely transformed into an adventurous outdoor party for kids. Entrainment includes like play zones, play town and inflatable zone, little chef zone, sports and fitness activities, a kid’s silent disco and live entertainment shows on the main stage. If you think that’s it, then just hold on the event organizers have also added few more entertainment zones like Mad Science Discovery Zone, Kidz Funfair Zone and Soccer and Cricket Zone.
To energise your kid’s pit stop at the food hall where there will be plenty of options to grab some tasty bites and then head to the Main Stage where there will be non-stop live performances including favourite local DJ and magician Magic Phil.
What’s In It?
For all kids who love science head down to the Mad Science Discovery Zone where kids will be entertained with 30-minute shows every hour providing highly interactive, fascinating science demonstrations. It will include bubbling potions, chemical reactions, slimy science and dry ice magic.
If your kids love sports then take to the test their skills in the Soccer and Cricket Zone, which also includes air hockey and fitness sessions as well as archery. Let your kid’s race against their friends at the kids play town and inflatable zone where they will climb through hoops and jump down slides.
There is also something for the little ones. From carousel to a toy train and stilt walkers, jugglers will keep your them entrained. The little ones can also get a chance to spot and meet the UAE’s favourite tv character Hamdoon.
What Else?
The organizers have also planned a fancy dress competition for all the three days where kids can get a chance to redeem himself with special prizes. On Thursday it’s Animal themed, on Friday dress up as a superhero and on Saturday it’s Disney day. To register for the fancy dress competitions visit www.kidzfest.ae. Kids for every age have activities at the Yas Kidz Fest. The age ranges are from 6 – 18 months, 2 years, 3 – 4 years, 5 – 10 years, so there will be something for everyone to experience. Children Under 18 go free while adults need to pay AED 30 to enter and can be purchased in advance.
