Udyan Utsav is one of the most awaited events that takes place annually in Delhi. And, it has finally returned to the city once again! Yes, on February 1, the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu graced the Udyan Utsav-I, 2024. Under this, the Amrit Udyan will remain open for the public till March 31, 2024.

Udyan Utsav-I, 2024 Begins In Delhi

As the Amrit Udyan remains open to the public till March 31, 2024, bookings can already be made online. It can also be made through self-service kiosks that have been placed outside gate number 35. Not to mention, the booking of slots is free! During the tour, visitors will be able to take in the Theme Garden, which has 42,000 tulips of 18 varieties. They have been planted to make the landscaping marvellous! As it happens, people will also want to visit the Amrit Udyan Signature, which is an elevated artistic garden signature that has been placed in the backdrop of the Theme Garden, making a great spot for taking pictures.

What All Can Visitors Check Out?

Besides these attractions, visitors must also check out the 225-year-old Sheesham Tree, Bal Vatika (which has a treehouse, babbling Brook, and nature’s classroom for children), Floral Clock, Musical Fountain, Central Lawn, Vertical Gen, Long Garden, and Circular Garden. Once people are done taking in the beautifully maintained gardens, they must replenish their energy in the Food Court, which features food stalls by TRIFED and ITDC, the name select few.

It should be noted that it’s open to the public on all days except Mondays, which are maintenance days. Not to mention, this udyan will be open for special categories on the following days –

  • February 22: Differently abled and visually challenged persons
  • February 23: Personnel of defence, paramilitary, and police forces
  • March 1: Women, tribals, and women SHGs
  • March 5: Children of orphanages

What About Entry?

At this point, it is worth mentioning that besides the Amrit Udyan, people can also visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, six days a week. So, if you do plan to visit the garden, you should know that the entry and exit for all visitors is from gate number 35 of the President’s estate. It’s close to where the North Avenue Road meets the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Not to mention, for public convenience, there is a public shuttle available at an interval of every 30 minutes between 9:30 AM and 5 PM.
