A majority of sectors are undergoing significant developments all around India. From roadways to railways, new projects are coming up for the development of the country nationwide and build stronger connections with places. Recently, major projects of the Ministry of Railways worth a hefty budget have been approved and announced. Here’s all the necessary information you need to know about these noteworthy developments.

Three Railway Projects Will Cover Four States

On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet approved a total of three railway projects worth an estimated value of ₹6,456 crore. All these constructions and developments are of the Ministry of Railways. One of these plans is to build a multi-tracking project and the other two are for two lines.

The approved plan is to work on these crucial three railway projects in four Indian states. Covering a total of seven districts, the developments will be a part of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, and West Bengal. Indeed, there are several goals with the completion of these new projects. One of them is to expand the present Indian Railways’ network by almost 300 km, according to a report by The Economic Times.

As a part of the approved railway projects by the Union Cabinet, these consist of three railway lines. According to a report by The Indian Express, one of these railway lines is Jamshedpur-Purulia-Asansol (Chandil-Anara-Damodar) measuring 121 km and the third line connecting Jharkhand with West Bengal. The Jamshedpur-Purulia-Asansol corridor is a key development. The Railways Minister shared that this will help in connecting the Delhi-Howrah and Mumbai-Howrah corridors.

The next line connects  Odisha’s Sardega and Chhattisgarh’s Bhalumuda. It is a new double line of 37 km between these two states. The last railway line is in Odisha and it is the 138 km Bargarh-Nawapara Road new line.
