Winter is fast approaching and that also brings with it the perfect time to catch a film under the sky. While Dubai is no short indoor movie experiences, nothing beats the joy of watching your favourite film in the open air and of course while snacking on lip-smacking movie nibbles. And the best part- you don’t have to wait too long for this! Urban Outdoor Cinema is coming to Dubai Marina this October and the schedule is out.
What’s It?
Starting 12 October, movie buffs will have a packed Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Wondering why? Urban Outdoor Cinema is coming to the Habtoor Grand in Dubai Marina. So check the schedule and book your tickets! Urban Entertainment has planned a three movies a day at their cosy outdoor lawn. Definitely sounds like a plan for us!
What’s The Schedule Like?
The grand movie marathon kicks off on 12 October with the blockbuster Bohemian Rhapsody. The following two days are a treat too with Avengers: Endgame on October 13 and Top Gun on October 14.
The following week, movie buffs can binge watch A Star is Born, The Goonies and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. That’s not all! Keeping in mind the Halloween week, Urban Outdoors also has a Halloween Special. The Halloween hits start off with The Shining on October 26, followed by Beetlejuice and The Lost Boys on October 27 and 28. As well as there’s a kid’s special screening on October 31.
As for November, the outdoor cinema will let you re-live classics like Back To The Future, Pretty Woman, Grease, The Breakfast Club and Notting Hill. The December schedule includes Dirty Dancing, The Notebook and Clueless. In addition, there’s also a Christmas special screening on 21, 22 and 23 – Home Alone, Love Actually and Elf are the films on charts.
Tickets for the outdoor screening starts at AED75 and booking will open soon. There’s also waiter service available on hand, in case you want to get your food delivered to your seats.
What Else?
That’s not it! There’s yet another outdoor cinema coming to Abu Dhabi this winter! Yas Island’s ‘movie under the sky’ is coming back with its third edition this October. The “Movies In The Park”, lets you binge watch latest movies for FREE. The concept started way back in 2017 and is now in its third edition. From 17-19 October, Yas Island’s Du Arena will transform into an open-air theatre, allowing movie buffs can catch their favourite flicks.
