Varanasi To Get World’s Tallest Shivling

Often regarded as one of the world’s oldest living cities and the land of Lord Shiva, Varanasi is set to become home to the world’s tallest Shivling. According to NDTV, the Varanasi Municipal Corporation is developing a world-class urban park spread across 20 acres at an estimated cost of ₹100 crore. The ambitious project will also feature the world’s tallest Shivling as its centrepiece.

The park will be developed on a park belonging to the Bhelupur Water Supply Department in Varanasi and has already been approved by the state government. If all things go as planned, then the Shiva-themed park will be completed within the next eight to nine months.
