Despite the tough 22-kilometre trek and limited helicopter services, thousands of pilgrims still reached the Kedarnath Temple at the same time, which led to a massive crowd on the very first day. A social media user, Wellu (@Wellutwt), shared a video showing how the situation unfolded on the ground.
In the video, we can clearly see how beautifully the temple gates were decorated with marigold flowers. But just outside the gates, the scene looks completely opposite and chaotic.
There are no proper queues visible anywhere. People are seen standing extremely close to each other near barricaded pathways, leaving very little space to move. In the video, people are also seen climbing over barricades just to move ahead faster.
The visuals also capture moments of pushing, arguing, and confusion among devotees. Overall, the situation shows how quickly the crowd became difficult to manage despite arrangements in place.
