The Valley of Flowers is located in the Western Himalayan region of Uttarakhand. If you intend to trek to this gorgeous spot, then you will be passing through push and dense forests and walking on trails along the Pushpawati river. It is known for its wide variety of flora and fauna. While on one hand, you will get see gorgeous flowers like orchids, poppies, and daisies bloom; on the other you might catch a glimpse of snow-leopard, black, bear or deer. The 38-km Trek Starts From Rishikesh
It is part of the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, which has also been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To start the 38-km trek, you need to start your journey from Rishikesh. It takes 11 hours, by road, to get here. We would suggest that you take some rest before starting your journey. The weather might be most apt, and the bloom at its prime, but exhaustion will ruin it all. Take your time and make the most of your first trip post lockdown.
