As per a report by News18, a passenger onboard an IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Varanasi attempted to open the emergency exit door just before landing, prompting intervention by the cabin crew and an emergency response from the cockpit. During questioning after the incident, the accused stated that he was “possessed by a ghost“—a”statement that left officials stunned. The incident occurred on a flight, 6E-185, as it was preparing to land at Lal Bahadur Shashtri International Airport in Varanasi. The officials informed the news portal that the passenger, identified as Mohammad Adnan, suddenly approached the emergency exit and tried to open it by pressing a button twice, which caused panic among fellow passengers.

Here’s What Happened After
Soon after, the crew members immediately intervened and restrained him while the aircraft was still in landing position. The pilot pulled the aircraft back into the air before carrying out a safe landing. Once landed, the accused were handed over to the airline security and CISF personnel. As per the news portal, a case was registered against him under Section 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
