If you’re an enthusiast of trains and have a penchant for the finer things in life, you know that the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express has the best when it comes to these two things. Offering impeccable comfort and scenic journeys, this train is for the upper echelon of society. Recently, they announced a new route which promises breathtaking views of the quaint Italian countryside, among other extraordinary things. Here is all you need to know about the new Paris-Portofino Luxury Train.

All You Need To Know About The Paris-Portofino Luxury Train

The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express has launched a new route from the city of love and lights, Paris, to the quaint coastal town of Portofino in Italy. The journey is quite exclusive, it will take place only once a year. This year, it will take place between June 20 and 23, 2024.

According to an article which was recently published by TimeOut, the tickets cost £7,920 (₹8,35,949) for double occupancy. The train route will take passengers from Paris through the provincial French countryside, the Mediterranean coast and past towns like Cannes, Monaco and Nice.

Once it crosses into Italy, passengers will get to witness the views of towns like Ventimiglia, Savona, and Genoa, and the journey will eventually end at Santa Margherita Ligure. On board, passengers will get to savour bites made by Michelin-starred Chef Jean Imbert.

How Do You Go About Booking A Seat?

You can head to the official website of Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and book your tickets from there. Since it is a fairly exclusive journey, tickets can be a bit difficult to come by. The train offers free pick-up from your accommodation in Paris to the train station.

Out of the three nights, passengers will only spend one on the train. The other two will be spent in the opulent Five-Star Splendido Hotel.
