These services include applying for a visa with access to your room, submitting applications digitally, checking documents digitally, and eVisa. VFS Global offers services to 50 clients in India in a network of 567 visa application centres; in 17 different locations.

Indian clients are jumping into advanced systems like the premium lounge and visa at your doorstep. The premium lounge provides a comfortable process inside the visa application centre. On the other hand, the service of visa at your doorstep allows clients to submit their visa applications from the comfort of their preferred places; be it home or office at their own convenience. The ‘visa at your doorstep’ service witnessed a 3X growing demand since the pandemic. This is a great initiative for a safe and hassle-free process for travellers.

Sinha also shared that there is a certainty of the tourism industry to transfer into digitalisation and follow through with most of the operations digitally. It is also expected that over time, governments will include biometric registration during the process of the visa applications.
