On Saturday, heavy rains and thunderstorms lashed Bengaluru. While the residents were happy with the cool weather conditions, they were also left confused when a white foam, resembling snow, took over some Bengaluru streets. A video capturing this bizarre sight, shared by @milanfied, has now gone viral on Instagram.
In the caption, Milan asks, “Does anyone know what’s happening? Bengaluru’s streets turned into a foam party after an unexpected summer rain!” He further mentioned, “If you’re wondering which area —this is at NIMHANS dairy circle.”
One user commented and explained the reason behind this “mysterious white foam” that has taken over Bengaluru streets. He explained, “It’s due to the soapnut tree. During the first rains these flowers create a foam like substance when they mix with water. Risky for 2 wheelers to ride as it’s slippery’ always fun to see them.”
