They never fail to share some of the cutest, surprising and sometimes even inspiring videos of animals. From a video of a snow leopard family in the mountainous regions of India to a leopard relaxing on a safari jeep, these animal videos will surely put a smile on your face. Similarly, an Indian Forest Service officer shared a super cute video of an elephant bathing on its own with a hose pipe. Here’s all about it.

IFS Officer Shares Video Of Elephant Bathing On Its Own

IFS Officer Susanta Nanda took to Twitter to share an adorable video of an elephant. In the video an elephant is seen nonchalantly bathing itself by holding a hose pipe with its trunk. It goes on to pour the water all over its head, back and ears. It even goes on to take the hose pipe and pour the water in its mouth, almost like its gargling. The IFS officer captioned the tweet by stating that he doesn’t support keeping the wild in confinement. But he does support the intelligence of elephants and even calls them marvellous creatures.

Netizens Shared Their Opinions On This Video

In the caption, he goes on to state that the elephant here is bathing on its own. It’s really adorable and you can’t take your eyes off it. The video instantly garnered over 30.8k views, 1798 likes and 263 retweets. Some Netizens instantly took to the comments section of the tweet to hail the elephant’s intelligence. One commented that it was like self-service. Another called it ‘Independent Ele’.

But some Twitteratis drew attention that the elephant was in captivity and wished it could be let out into the wild. @ssr1952 tweeted that the elephant could have undergone harsh training to be domesticated. He found this behaviour to be abnormal and unnatural. @anjutalwar commented that the bathing elephant seemed like it was confined in a temple. She urged the need to set elephants free in jungles and not be subjected to a lifetime of captivity.
