A tragic incident took place on Tuesday evening in Mathura’s Vrindavan. Parts of the famous Banke Bihari Temple collapsed resulting in devotees being stuck under the debris. The shrine is devoted to Banke Bihari, which many people believe to be a form of Radha and Krishna. Here are the details of the Banke Bihari Temple accident.

Banke Bihari Temple: Parts Of Old Building Collapsed And Killed 5 People

When a portion of an old building collapsed on worshippers, up to five people were killed and four more were hurt. The information received states that the wall fell as a result of several monkeys fighting on it, causing a serious regrettable tragedy.

According to the authorities, the building’s wall collapsed while rescue efforts were being made for individuals stuck beneath the debris after a large portion of a balcony fell on worshippers passing by the residence.

The crumbling wall of the house is thought to be blamed for the disaster. The moment the tragedy occurred, there was a commotion on the scene, and people immediately began to flee in fear. A portion of the structure was seen collapsing on individuals on CCTV, generating a commotion in the neighbourhood.

UP CM Announced Ex-Gratia Of ₹4 Lakhs

The tragedy was discussed by Mathura District Magistrate Pulkit Khare, who acknowledged that five persons had died and four more were still being treated in hospitals. He stated that the police squad reached the accident spot. According to the regulations for persons who have passed away and are receiving treatment, the compensation will be examined. Teams are investigating the situation.

The Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and expressed his great sadness over the lives lost in the catastrophe. CM Yogi Adityanath also prayed for the wounded people’s recovery. He has declared that the next-of-kin of those slain when a portion of an old building fell will receive an ex-gratia of ₹4 lakhs.

Taking note of the occurrence, the CM said that all injured people will receive free medical care, and he or she also ordered officials to ensure that those hurt receive the right care.

Additionally, he has given orders for district administration senior executives to travel to the area and handle the relief efforts right now.
