It has almost become a cliche to say that Mumbai’s local trains are the lifeline of the city. The local trains in Mumbai carry lakhs of people to and from the city on the daily. They are famous for their cost-effectiveness and infamous for being late. Anyone who travels through this intricate network of connectivity knows that it is an ecosystem of its own. Recently, actor Tusshar Kapoor travelled on the iconic train and shared his experience.

Tusshar Kapoor Takes Mumbai Local To Beat “Ghastly Traffic”

Tusshar Kapoor recently shared a video of himself on X (formerly known as Twitter) in which he was travelling in the Mumbai local. Mumbai trains, though not always on time, are nevertheless still very reliable. Millions of people use it daily for commuting in addition to other modes of travel.

Tusshar Kapoor shared his reason for travelling on the local train. As per the caption of his post, he had a shoot on the outskirts of Mumbai. On his way, he wanted to avoid the terrible traffic. So, he opted to take a train from Virar to Churchgate.

He also mentioned that he was travelling in the first class. That would explain why the compartment is as empty as it is. In the video, Tusshar is wearing a mask but he takes it off to shoot the video. A couple of people can be seen in the compartment.

Other Celebrities Who Also Have Travelled In The Trains

This is not the first time a celebrity has used public transport. As a matter of fact, it is becoming increasingly common for celebs to take public transport to avoid traffic. A couple of years ago, Nawazuddin Siddiqui was also spotted in Mumbai locals.

Even stars like Anupam Kher, Vidya Balan, Akshay Kumar and Kartik Aaryaan have also been seen travelling on Mumbai metros and Mumbai local trains. Mumbai traffic can truly be a pain in the neck. Local trains are an excellent and more environmentally friendly way to travel.
