The Bharat Mart, akin to China’s Dragon Mart, stands as India’s warehouse facility. It was strategically located in the United Arab Emirates, and aimed at facilitating Indian exports. It will provide a unified platform for showcasing products. Set to commence operations in 2025, the facility spans over 1 lakh square metres in the Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA). It’s a subsidiary of DP World, housing a blend of warehouse, retail, and hospitality units.

With its inception, Bharat Mart is poised to catapult Indian companies onto the global stage. It aims to foster expansion into key markets like Africa, Europe, and the United States. By streamlining logistics, the facility is expected to slash shipping time and costs. Hence, it will enhance competitiveness in international trade.
During his UAE sojourn, PM Modi inaugurated the first Hindu temple in the region, marking a significant milestone in cultural diplomacy. Following this, engagements in Qatar were completed, including a meeting with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
