This time, Swiggy Instamart is set to release a Shopping List feature aiming to offer new and exciting services to users. The project is still at its pilot phase and here’s everything you must know about it.

Swiggy Instamart’s co-founder Phani Kishan shared the grand news and demo of the upcoming feature and stated that it is still in the pilot phase. The plan is to scale and expand it gradually to all users. The company has initiated piloting the industry-first list feature with a brilliant goal of improving Indian customers’ quick commerce shopping experiences.

The co-founder announced the news after X user @GabbarSingh pointed out how Indians shop at local stores by handing shopping lists to shopkeepers. Instead of searching for each product and adding to carts on online platforms, customers simply hand over the list mentioning essentials and shopkeepers provide them with everything they need in shops.

Following this recommendation, Phani Kishan posted how Swiggy Instamart’s new Shopping List feature will offer similar services to online users. Its primary functions allow customers to “scan, write or say their entire shopping list” on the app. The innovation later creates users’ carts and offers convenient shopping experiences.

More About The Latest Feature

Using the feature will surely not be as complicated as many may imagine it to be. To explain in the simplest words, users will get a total of three options; Say it, Scan it, and Write it. While using the Say it option, they can simply utter items they want to order. The Scan It feature will allow people to scan handwritten or typed notes. Customers will need to type or paste their lists while using the Write it feature. These steps will later lead to Swiggy Instamart creating a searchable list and users can add everything they need to their carts.
