Woman Slams IndiGo After She Had To Pay ₹21,000 For Delhi-Ahmedabad Flight; Internet Reacts

Until a few years ago, travelling by air used to be a pretty big deal for most of us. It was a general idea that flights were only an option for rich folks. However, slowly, the idea changed, and flights became more accessible to the general population of India. Believe it or not, that era of ease and comfort might be coming to an end (or a halt). Recently, Chaaipani CEO Shruti Chaturvedi took to Twitter and called out the audacity of IndiGo for charging ₹21,000 for a one-way flight from Delhi to Ahmedabad.

Chaaipani CEO Ranted About IndiGo Prices

The surge in domestic flight tickets is not exactly news. Especially after Go First declared bankruptcy and cancelled all their flights, many people were forced to look for other flights at the last moment. Forced to pay extremely high prices to travel domestically, many resorted to sharing their complaints on Twitter. Just yesterday, the CEO of Chaaipani also posted on Twitter about paying a whopping ₹21,000 for a flight ticket from Delhi to Ahmedabad.

Expressing her shock at this massive boom in prices, she questioned IndiGo’s audacity to charge so much. Once she posted it on Twitter, people not only sympathised with her but also shared their own experiences where they recently overpaid for domestic travel via flights.

Twitteratis Shared More Info About Ticket Prices

Responding to her tweet, a lot of people came forward and shared more information about shockingly high prices. A Twitterati shared that the ticket from Chennai to Bangalore was ₹43,000 just a few weeks ago. With such high prices, travelling internationally actually seems like a better option. Not only are people actually considering that option, but some people also have theories about this sudden rise.

One user also pointed out that travelling by air might soon turn into a premium thing that only a few will be able to afford. Some people believe it to be the result of IPL matches, and others think it is a case of demand and supply. Take a look at some of the comments yourself.

These bizarre prices certainly won’t go back to normal anytime soon, will they? Do you think it’s just a problem with IndiGo or flight prices in general?
