We are only 9 days away from Durga Puja and we cannot keep calm. Not just in West Bengal, but Durga Puja is celebrated in many cities in India and even international countries with pomp and glory. A city in the Netherlands is undergoing all the major preparations for the Puja and their grand celebrations have an interesting connection with Sunderbans this year.
Sunderbans Sent All THESE To Almere For Durga Puja
The excitement and enthusiasm of Bengalis to celebrate the biggest festival of the year is just increasing with each and every passing day. Last-minute preparations are going on everywhere before welcoming Maa Durga and her entourage. In between all the fast-paced work, we just got to know about a beautiful connection between the Netherlands’s Almere and Sunderbans.

Back in September, paper bowls, glasses, and plates were sent to Almere from Sunderbans, according to a report by The Telegraph India – My Kolkata. It costs ₹12 for every set of paper products. The Netherlands city ordered these items from Sunderbans to serve the special bhog prasad to everyone during Durga Puja.
More Fascinating Products Have Been Shipped To Almere This Year
Groups of women of Sunderbans did not only ship paper plates, glasses, and bowls across the borders. For the decoartions of the ambience, Almere ordered some beautiful products as well. Beautiful decor products such as clay pots, lanterns, and some kettles have been sent. The designs are mesmerising and a special touch of Sunderbans also arrived in this city in the Netherlands. The designs and paintings of the clay products have some amazing inspiration from the Sunderbans’s famous scroll art. The organisers of the Almere Durga Puja shared that they will use all this decor to decorate and beautify the hall where they will keep and worship Maa Durga.

The Telegraph India – My Kolkata report stated that the puja committee is celebrating the event sustainably. In fact, sustainability is the theme and they are following a zero-plastic festival.
This is not the first time when Sunderbans shipped products to the Netherlands for Durga Puja. Last year, this place sent about 3,500 sets of plates, bowls, and glass to Eindhoven.
