Working In Denmark Needs No Residence Or Work Permit! Thanks To New Regulations

We all know how much stress getting a residence or work permit can bring. This happens to be the main reason why people drop their dream of working in another country. But wait! This European country does not ask for a residence or work permit. Denmark actually allows foreign nationals to work here without a residence or work permit, thanks to the new regulations.

Certain foreign nationals can now work in Denmark for brief periods of time without needing a residency or work visa, thanks to new legislation that went into effect on November 17.

According to the most recent regulations from Danish authorities, qualifying requires employment with a foreign company associated with a Danish establishment that employs at least fifty people, as SchengenVisaInfo revealed.

Individuals may work for the Danish company for two separate periods of time within 180 days under the new regulations. A minimum of 14 days must pass between each work assignment, which can last up to 15 working days, and an absence from Denmark is required in between.

This clause only applies to jobs requiring managerial responsibilities or high- to intermediate-level knowledge in particular categories.

Additionally, the business must employ at least 50 people in Denmark. Particularly, those doing management or high- to intermediate-level knowledge work are subject to this guideline.

Agriculture, forestry, horticulture, cleaning, lodging, building, and the transportation of products by road are among the industries included.

However, visitors’ visas are still required for nationals of nations where visas are required. In addition, those with work permits limited to a specific job who want to work as instructors at a particular school or for a different company need to apply for permission for side jobs.

The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI) declared in September of this year that they will use income data from the Confederation of Danish Employers when processing applications for work permits and residence permits. This will allow them to determine whether the position being offered complies with Danish salary standards. (As per Business Insider)
