World’s Largest Zoo To Be Built In Jamnagar Featuring Birds & Animals From Across The Globe

The world’s tallest statue, Statue of Unity and the world’s largest renewable energy park in Kutch, are both situated in Gujarat. The state now gears up for another record. Jamnagar in Gujarat will soon get the world’s largest zoo. Featuring birds and animals from across the globe, Reliance Industries will build this zoo in the next two years. Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries’ chairman and MD Mukesh Ambani will develop this prestigious project. Read on to know more.

Jamnagar In Gujarat To Have World’s Largest Zoo Built By Reliance Industries

The world’s biggest zoo in terms of number of species at one place will soon come up in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The project developed under Reliance Industries’ Anant Ambani will attract tourists in large numbers to Jamnagar. According to India Today,  Parimal Nathwani, Reliance Corporate Affairs Director stated that the zoo will be developed in 280 acres of land. The development of this zoo witnessed delays due to the coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, it will be completed in two years time.

MK Das, additional chief secretary in Gujarat CM’s office stated to India Today, “As we all know the world’s tallest statue is in Gujarat. Now, one of the world’s biggest zoos, in terms of number and species of animals at one place, is coming up very shortly in Jamnagar.” The details on the Central Zoo Authority reveals that this zoo will be named ‘Greens Zoological Rescue and Rehabilitation Kingdom’. Moreover, it shall feature birds and animals from across the globe. This includes Sloth Bear, Asiatic Lion, Giraffe, Komodo Dragon and much more. Visitors can take a stroll along the varied global sections like the Aquatic Kingdom, Forest of India, Frog House and more.
