You Can Soon Take Direct Flights From India To Cambodia And Fulfil Your Sightseeing Wishes

Soon, India and Cambodia will have air linkages between the two countries. This decision will aid the countries’ tourism sectors. India’s Ambassador to Cambodia, Devyani Khobragade, said that this decision will surely give a great impetus to tourism. With direct flights, both Indians and Cambodians would love to visit each other’s countries.

Flights From India To Cambodia

Devyani said that Cambodians will like to travel to India, the birthplace of the Buddha. She added that Indians would adore visiting Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Angkor Wat is to Cambodia exactly what the Taj Mahal is to India. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is a temple complex in Cambodia and one of the most important archaeological sites in Southeast Asia.

It is one of the largest religious monuments in Cambodia. The country is also home to many other beautiful attractions that are worth a visit. Some of them are Banteay Srei, Koh Ker, Wat Ubosot Ratanaram, and Tonlé Sap.

MoUs Signed Between The Two Countries

Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar visited Cambodia to attend the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit and the 17th East Asia Summit. It was the Vice President’s first official visit abroad. This year is the 70th anniversary of India and Cambodia’s bilateral relations. They signed about four MoUs (memorandums of understanding) during this visit.

The renovation of Cambodian temples has long been connected to India. Khobragade said that there are plans to build a tiger ecosystem in Cambodia. An MOU related to the digital conservation of cultural heritage has also been signed, which can help in mapping temples of Indian origin.
