Instagram is flooded with all kinds of food trends. One such is where artisanal chefs make cakes replicas of everyday objects. Complementing that a fine artist took to her Instagram and gave this trend her twist. While gram is home to millions of diverse talents, it is always surreal to believe in the human capability of creative minds. Named @ruandchai on Instagram, the artist couple Rucha and Chaitanya create paintings of authentic Indian food.

With as many as 107k followers on Instagram, the artist duo has a huge fan base for their creative paintings. The major artwork is done by Ruchika and she operates her Instagram page with her husband, Chaitanya.  

In a video that went viral, she made pav bhaji and dosa paintings along with the appam. She has written on the painting for her followers to guess if the paintings are real or fake. There is another painting of uttapam in the video which she intends to eat from to depict the resemblance of the paintings to food. The video received 17.2k views and as many as 142 comments. 

One of the comments read, ‘That’s so cool! Definitely had me fooled.’ While another Instagrammer commented, ‘That Uttapam is extremely realistic!!!’ Instagrammers couldn’t definitely believe their eyes and the extent of their creativity.

‘These Paintings have reached their new home. I made another Pav Bhaji and Dosa painting along with the Appam painting. All three of these are now residing happily in their lovely home!’, ruandchai wrote in the caption of the video.

This Duo Is A Powerhouse Of Creativity

Ruchika belongs to Mumbai, Maharashtra and Chaitanya is from Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Thus, their paintings are a mix of Maharashtrian and South Indian cuisines.
