Yuvraj Singh opened a magnificent villa in Goa just some weeks ago. It is a minimalistic-designed tranquil stay in Goa’s Morjim that comes with a lavish pool as well. Featuring his memoirs and stunning aesthetic touches in every corner, this place is a new addition to Goa’s serene properties. And now, the Indian cricketer’s property in Morjim came under the Goa government’s radar. Read to know the reason.

The Goa tourism department issued a notice to the cricketer only a month after he opened the doors of his Goa homestay “Casa Singh”. Yuvraj’s holiday home in Morjim came under the Goa government’s radar as he allegedly failed to register his casa with the Tourism Department. Also, he put the villa online without the registration process with the authorities. He got a call for a hearing on 8 December as well.

According to the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act 1982, it is compulsory to register a property with the tourism department. It is a mandate to apply for registration before starting to provide services.  And as Yuvraj allegedly failed to do so, he received the notice from the Goa tourism department.

Here’s To Know More About The Court Hearing!

According to the notice, Yuvraj needs to be in Goa for a personal hearing at 11 am on 8 December. The notice also mentions if he does not appear on the mentioned date and time, they will assume that all these allegations are true against Yuvraj. Also, the notice states that he will be punished with a fine that can exceed ₹1 lakh under Section 22 or in violation of any of the provisions of this Act, according to DNA India.

It was on 11 November when the department officials inspected the villa. The notice also mentions why “penal action should not be initiated” against him for not registering his villa under the Goa Registration of Tourist Trade Act, 1982.

With the current situation with the property of Yuvraj Singh, the Goa Tourism Department notified everyone that how it is extremely important for everyone starting to open a villa or stay in Goa to apply for registration to the relevant authorities. And they need to do it before opening it.
