As revealed in a report by the Hindustan Times, Nikhil Kamath has invested in Cafe Amudhum. He has invested in this chain of eateries, which is often pegged as a rival to Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru. Although the two chains serve similar cuisine, they operate in a different manner. As mentioned by Indian Start-up News, it is an investment of somewhere between 4 to 5 crores in the brand. However, the exact amount has not been disclosed.

Not The Only Investment In Food Brand

It should be noted that Cafe Amudhum is a QSR brand, and it does something similar to McDonald’s. They open multiple outlets in different cities and expand fast. At this point, it’s worth noting that this is not the first time that Nikhil Kamath has invested in a food brand. He is known for investing in brands like Subko Coffee Roasters and Third Wave.
