What Is It?
As if having some of the tallest buildings in the world wasn’t enough, there’s a new Supertall Tower being constructed behind JLT. DMCC, the world’s flagship Free Zone & Government of Dubai Authority & master developer of Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT), announced today that the construction of its much anticipated Uptown Dubai is proceeding at pace with the foundation works of the ‘supertall tower’ completed. The new property is set to open by 2020.

What Else?
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC said “As a premium mixed-use destination, Uptown Dubai will be a significant addition to Dubai’s iconic skyline and will transform the way people live, work and thrive in the area. Crucially, the project will also deliver thousands of jobs and, in turn, supply a significant boost to Dubai’s economy. The supertall tower will include luxury hotel rooms and suites, high-end restaurants, health spas, extensive conference facilities, grade A offices, and 237 uniquely designed branded residences. DMCC partnered with Accor Hotels’ to bring their spirited luxury lifestyle hotel brand, SO/, to the supertall tower which is a first in the Middle East.
