In a bold move to align with the emirate’s zero-emission public transport strategy, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to deploy 30 electric buses across three major areas: Business Bay, Al Wasl Road, and Dubai Mall. This transition from diesel-powered to electric vehicles marks a significant step towards sustainable transportation in Dubai. Although the RTA has not yet announced the fee structure for these electric buses, the initiative is expected to revolutionise public transport in the city.

Dubai’s music scene is about to get a heavy dose of hip-hop nostalgia. Three of the biggest names in the genre—Xzibit, D12, and Obie Trice—are gearing up for a one-night-only performance at the Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday, June 29. 5. GCC Updates: Qatar Bans Exit Without Paying Traffic Fines

Starting September 1, Qatar will enforce a new rule prohibiting individuals with outstanding traffic fines from leaving the country. This measure is part of a broader set of traffic regulations introduced by the Ministry of Interior. To encourage compliance, the ministry has also announced a 50% discount on the value of traffic violations for all motor vehicles from June 1, 2024, to August 31, 2024.
