What are some things you look for when booking a hotel room during your vacation? Booking.com’s Travel Trends 2024 report has given us an insight into this! According to their report, everything from on-site restaurants to concierge services plays an important role for Indian travellers when it comes to booking a hotel room. Read on to know more about the stay amenities wishlist of Indian travellers!

What Amenities Do Indian Travellers Seek While Booking Hotels?

When you plan a vacation, accommodation is one of the most important things during the whole experience. But how do you decide on a good accommodation? Well, according to Booking.com’s Travel Trends 2024, comfort and convenience are of utmost importance for Indian travellers.

So, what do Indians look for while booking a hotel? Well, they look for everything from on-site restaurants and concierge services to parking availability and childcare services! As per Booking.com’s report, here are five top requirements that most Indian travellers seek –

  1. Access to on-site restaurant (83%)
  2. Seamless and flexible 24-hour check-ins (81%)
  3. In-room air conditioning (73%)
  4. Availability of breakfast (74%)
  5. Safe and secure luggage storage (72%)

Coming to the in-room amenities, the report suggested that people look for flexibility in room service (85%), a room with a nice view (83%), the option of a power outlet/socket near the bed (76%), in-room air-conditioning temperature control (73%), and access to toiletries such as shampoo/conditioner (67%).

Booking.com’s Report Reveals Services That Indians Willingly Pay Extra For

Since a vacation is all about indulgence, Booking.com’s Report also revealed amenities that Indians willingly pay extra for. These include little things and services that add a touch of comfort and convenience to elevate their stay experience and they don’t mind paying for them.

Here are the top five additional services that Indian travellers like –

  1. Breakfast included with the stay (48%)
  2. Room service indulgence (46%)
  3. Curated tours or activities (37%)
  4. Laundry services (37%)
  5. Room upgrade (33%) for more space or a better view
