The Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation or IRCTC is planning on extending the services for two summer special trains. These extended trains are the Guwahati-Bengaluru Special Train and the Mysuru-Muzaffarpur Special Train. The two trains will continue to run on the same route as before with the same fare prices and stops as before. The telos behind extending the train services is to clear the wait list and meet the huge demand by passengers who want to travel in that direction.

Two Summer Special Train Services Extended To Meet Demands

According to an article which was recently published by East Mojo, the extended train services will continue to maintain the existing schedule. The Guwahati-SMVT Bengaluru Special Train which is numbered 06570 will continue to ply every Wednesday till June 12.

The train will depart from Guwahati at 6 AM and will arrive at SMVT Bengaluru at 10 AM on Friday. At 12:30 AM on Sunday, the train will undertake the returning journey and will reach Guwahati at 5:30 AM on Tuesday. The extension of the return journey is from May 26 to June 9.

The Mysuru-Muzaffarpur Special Train which is numbered 06222, has been extended till June 10. It will depart from Mysuru every Monday at 10:30 AM and will reach Muzaffarpur on Wednesday at 1:30 PM.

The train will depart on the returning journey from Muzaffarpur every Thursday at 1 PM. It will reach Mysuru at 4:40 PM on Saturday. The extension of the return journey is till June 13.

If reports are to go by, there are huge wait lists which were to be cleared out. This showed that the demand for these summer trains is still quite high. So, the officials – wanting to meet these demands – decided to extend the days of the limited train services between these places.
