Good news, folks! The much-anticipated intra-state air taxi services have finally been launched in Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav inaugurated the service on Thursday and even handed the boarding passes to the first set of flyers himself. The first flight under this new air taxi service was flagged off from Bhopal to Jabalpur. Also, the state is offering a massive 50% discount on this service for the first 30 days. Intra-State Air Taxi Service Launched In Madhya Pradesh

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off the first air taxi in the state under the PM Shri Paryatan Vayu Seva. The flight travelled from Bhopal to Jabalpur and the CM gave the boarding passes to the passengers himself. He also opened a ticket-booking counter for this new service for those who wish to book the service offline.

To initially promote these intra-state air taxis, the state is offering a massive 50% discount for the first 30 days. As per reports, these air taxis will significantly reduce travel time and it will just take 55 minutes to reach Indore from Bhopal with this service. It takes almost 4 hours to cover the distance between the two cities via road.

Everything You Need To Know About This New Service

For now, the air taxis will be run in destinations like Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Khajuraho. The main aim of this service is to boost tourism and reduce travel time within Madhya Pradesh. With this service, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board wishes for tourists to see the state in a whole new way to experience its beauty. They have also reassured people that these air taxis are safe and meet international standards.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, these air taxis will be run by Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and Flyola on Public Private Partnership basis. The service will also be expanded on the basis of public response. The planes under these air taxis are six-seater with twin engines. If the service gets a good response, then the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will go for 11-seater and then 20-seater aircraft to expand the service, the report suggested.
