One Visa Serves All – Malaysia, Singapore & Indonesia

Travelling to South-East-Asia just got a tad bit easier! Visit Malaysia and neighbouring countries in just one visa.

What Is It?

In order to promote tourism, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak has announced the launch of a one visa & multiple entry e-visa for the Indian tourists.

Indian travellers can fly to Malaysia and visit Singapore, South Thailand and Indonesia on their way back. This visa will be valid for 15 days. Malaysia will be serving as the gateway to Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN for Indians. A good response will lead to an extension of the visa for other nationalities as well.

Tourism and Culture minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz also says

I would like more Indians to visit Malaysia and have decided on no visa fee, online application approval within 48 hours, and multiple-entry e-visa to be accorded for Indian nationals,”

India has always been a top source market for Malaysia. About 540,530 Indian arrived in Malaysia between January-October, 2016. This new service is expected to boost arrivals further to Malaysia in particular.

Razak told reporters at a joint press conference here with Prime Minister Narendra Modi that,

History binds us together. Indian languages, culture and food are popular in Malaysia. I’m a fan of Indian films, especially after visiting Chennai.
