Eid al-Adha is nearly here and chances are that you might be one of the many people who are travelling this festival. And if your flight tickets are with Emirates, then you are in for a treat. Marking the special occasion with traditional food onboard, Emirates is all about making Eid a special moment onboard for its guests. Here’s all about this.

Emirates To Serve Eid al-Adha Feast Onboard

Emirates is marking the occasion of Eid al-Adha with not just traditional dishes but with new Arabic movies and TV series on Ice. But before we talk about all of this, one has to shed light on all the offers that will be made to the guests from June 16 to 19. Guests in all classes will be offered a selection and they will be receiving Eid sweet treats. These will be made by Home Bakery, which is a homegrown UAE business. From Pistachio Cakes to irresistible chewy Melt Cookies, the delightful desserts will be given in a bespoke Emirates Eid gift box.

What Will Different Classes Be Offered?

Those travelling in the Economy Class will be given flavoursome treats like Lamb Tagine with apricot, couscous, potatoes, and white sesame seeds, Chicken Kebab Khashkhash cooked in tomato sauce with peppers and orange rice garnished with almonds, or Daoud basha, which is a Lebanese-style Chicken Meatballs that is served with vermicelli rice. For dessert, they will be offered Pistachio Cake that is topped with butter cream and pistachio sauce or a Decadent Coffee Cake with chocolate mousse, drizzled in Arabica sauce.

Those travelling in Premium Economy and Business Class will be offered traditional Lamb Chermoula. This is a dish cooked in a Moroccan spiced sauce, which is served with saffron rice, roasted vegetables, and harissa. Other dishes like Beef Foga – braised beef short ribs in Emirati spices with steamed rice and potatoes, or Prawn Morbian with tomatoes, onions, and aromatic rice, which is topped with toasted pine nuts will also be served. The dessert for these classes will be Pistachio and Chocolate Nammoura Cake and a White Chocolate & Rahash Mousse Cake.

Finally, travellers in First Class will be served dishes like Grilled Chicken, which is served with sumac lemon dressing, roasted potatoes & baked vegetables. One can also try their Lamb Madfoon – the classic roasted lamb steak in traditional spices with vegetables and fragrant rice. For desserts they will be served Honey and White Chocolate Cake, with a dash of Crème Anglaise or a Rich Walnut Baklawa Cake served with Kashta.

Great Entertainment

Since no flight is complete without great entertainment, guests through Ice will be offered up to 6,500 channels of on-demand entertainment. This includes favourites from MBC and Shahid. In fact, people can also choose to watch from a selection of more than 2,000 movies from around the world. This includes hundred plus Arabic films and even new movies that have been added this month, such as Fadel We Neama, Hajjan, Souad, 5 Mohi El Din Abu El Ezz, Bahebek, and Thanya Wahda

So, it’s safe to say that your flight with Emirates it’s bound to be something absolutely memorable. After all, they’re leaving no stone unturned to ensure you have a blissful flight.
