If you’re travelling by air, the closest airport to Katao is in Bagdogra. From there, it will take 8 hours to reach this location as the distance between Bagdogra and Katao is 222 kilometres. You can also travel by train. The closest railway station is the New Jalpaiguri Station (NJP). This route will also take 8 hours for you to reach because the distance between NJP and Katao is 217 kilometres.

If you want to have fun in the snow, the best time for you to visit this place is during the winter season. The snowclad landscapes offer breathtaking views and thrilling activities. If you’re looking for a bit of green, then the summer season is the perfect time to visit. The valley is green and you can witness colourful flowers blooming during this time.
