1st Giga-Yacht In GCC, Coral Garden & More To Come Up In Ras Al Khaimah; All About The New Maritime Facility

There is a lot of development happening in the UAE and we keep hearing about it almost every other day. And recently, news came up from Ras Al Khaimah that a new maritime facility will be established in the emirate. This will be done along with an underwater living experience that will be coming up in the Northern emirates. To be developed by Kleindienst Group, which is based in Dubai, here’s all about the upcoming facility.

A New Upcoming Maritime Facility In RAK

Kleindienst Group, which is a Dubai-based developer of the ‘Heart Of The Europe’ project, is now developing a maritime facility in Ras Al Khaimah. In a report by the Khaleej Times, it was mentioned that this developer will be building a shipyard. Yes, it will consist of four sections wherein the first one will be called the ‘Viking Section’. It will include the design and construction of a 144-m giga-yacht. With this, the UAE will stand along with the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany for its capability to construct giga-yacht. Not to mention, this will make it the first destination in the GCC region that will be capable of building a giga-yacht. For those who weren’t aware, this is big as there are less than 100 giga-yachts in the entire world.

Coming to the second phase, this shipyard will comprise a coral garden section. Yes, it will focus on the construction of the Heart of the Europe underwater living experience, which is going to be a first of its kind. This will be in the form of Floating Seahorse Villas, the Floating Lido hotel, floating solar systems, and the Floating Venice resort.

What About The Third & Fourth Phase?

The third phase will be the ‘Tug’ section, which will handle the construction of barges, transportation vessels, and transportation vessels. As a result, it will double this Group’s current fleet! Finally, the fourth section, called ‘Ferry’ will be dedicated to passenger transportation, sailing &diving boats, and fishing boats. This is brilliant as the diving industry is set for significant growth as new reef areas are coming up in Dubai.

Besides this, the shipyard will also have a Maritime Academy. Additionally, the developer is partnering up with RAK Ports for the development of this project. Not to mention, the initial overall scope of work includes about 200 boats.
