YouGov India recently conducted a survey whose results focused on urban Indians and their choices of fast food consumption from different chains and outlets. A total of 950 respondents from more than 210 cities participated in this online survey, according to a report by LiveMint. Its duration was from April 3 to 9, 2024. The findings are actually quite interesting and provide enough information to understand the customers’ preferences in today’s market.

If you are wondering about the primary factors consumers consider while ordering from a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR), here’s all about it.

  • 93 per cent of the urban Indians choose food quality as a major choice when they place orders for fast food items from restaurants and chains.
  • 76 per cent of respondents choose price as a crucial factor.
  • 65 per cent consider discounts while ordering as well.

With every passing day, we see a rise in delivery agents rushing on bikes and cycles to deliver orders to foodies’ doorsteps. While people love ordering from the comfort of their homes, many also enjoy stepping outside and eating at restaurants. 45 per cent of respondents enjoy fast food at different chains a minimum of one day a week.
