While we’re on Season 3 of the coronavirus lockdown, the one question on everyone’s mind is, ‘Yeh Lockdown Kab Khatham Hoga Yaar?’ At this point, maybe none of us have a definite answer. Some of us are waiting to hit the gym, others itching to chill with our gang and many more yearning for normalcy before coronavirus. Amid the COVID-19 tension, at Curly Tales, we have made a list of few things you don’t have to worry about during this lockdown. Soak in the positivity and hope, that you can find in the comfort of your home during this dire time. Here are 8 things you don’t need to worry about during the lockdown.
1. You Don’t Have To Worry About Waking Up On Time For Work
The alarm rings, wake up, freshen up, grab breakfast and rush to work, and ofcourse repeat. This is most of our schedules on a normal weekday. But during this lockdown, we don’t have to worry about waking up on time for work. We can wake up leisurely, prepare our own breakfast and feast on it while reading a newspaper, and then sit to work with a fresh, relaxed feeling. Now that hits another high altogether.
2. No More Daily Traffic Jams
Work fatigue is often not caused due to the work itself. It’s the tiresome commute that causes it. The loud honking of vehicles stuck in a traffic jam, air pollution coupled with hours-long travel can really tire one out. Work from home during this lockdown means no more daily traffic jams. And you don’t need to waste time in everyday traffic. You can still be productive at work, without really feeling the fatigue at the end of the day.
3. No More Worrying About The Outfit Of The Day
Black dress, check. Silver earrings, white watch, black formal shoes, check check and check. Makeup and lipstick, more checks. Selecting the outfit of the day, pairing it with the right accessories and perfect makeup can be quite a task. But slipping into a comfy pair of pyjamas, with hair tied in a bun, now that’s the perfect work outfit of the day. So courtesy the coronavirus lockdown, we don’t have to worry about the outfit of the day.
4. No Stressing About Unnecessary Expenses
Let’s get this straight, we love to indulge. Be it exotic foods from charming eateries, travel to gorgeous locations, adventurous experiences, shopping for pretty outfits we love it all. But this COVID-19 lockdown has put a stop to all our indulgences. One of the things we don’t need to worry about during this lockdown is no more stressing on unnecessary expenses. Malls, liquor shops, pubs are all temporarily shut. So we do end up saving on alot during this time thanks to a significant drop in our unnecessary expenses.
5. No Rushing To The Parlour To Look Up To The Mark
We have nowhere to go and no one to meet. So we don’t need to rush to the parlour to look up to the mark. This is our time to catch up on some self-care routine like homemade masks and pedicures to feel our best in the comfort of our homes. Self-care at home is indeed the new trend. 6. Plenty Of Time To Spend With Your Loved Ones
Before the coronavirus lockdown, we were too busy to spend time with our loved ones. Now that all of us are stuck at home, this is our time to play board games, watch films, cook and catch up on some family time. Why just family? This lockdown has given us the opportunity to connect with our friends, who might stay miles away but are just one phone call away.
7. No Worries About Hangovers And Making Weekend Plans
Come weekend and we’d spend hours deciding where to chill and hang out with our gang. But courtesy the COVID-19 lockdown, we don’t have any more worries about hangovers and making weekend plans. Video calling with our friends over drinks has become a weekend plan itself. Did you know Virtual Wine Tasting Is The Latest Lockdown Trend?
8. No Complaining About Not Having Time To Do Things
The best part about this coronavirus lockdown is that we can no longer complain about not having time to do things. We have all the time in the world to exercise, read books, learn a new skill, spend time with family and indulge in self-care. It’s all up to us how we use this time to the best.
