The UAE government announces the school calendar for the next three years until 2022-2023. Chaired by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Minister of Presidential Affairs, the Ministerial Development Council gave a go-ahead to the calendars for public and private schools for three years.

The academic year for 2020-2021, began on August 30, however for 2021-2022 academic year will start on August 29, 2021. Similarly, the academic year 2022-2023 will commence on August 28.
Winter Break for 2020-2021
Both private and public school kids will get three weeks of winter break this year. The holiday will start from December 13 to December 31, 2020. All the schools will resume on January 3 2021.
Spring Break for 2021
All public and private schools that follow the Ministry of Education Curriculum will get a three-week Spring break. It will start on March 28 and end on April 15. Whereas, when it comes to private schools in Dubai following a foreign curriculum will either have a three-week break like other schools or will have a two-week break from March 28 to April 8. Kids who opt for a two-week break can take a one-week break later in the year.
Summer Breaks for 2021
The last functioning day for all schools will be on July 1. Kids will get a summer vacation of 8.2 weeks. The vacations cannot exceed irrespective of the curriculum being followed.

New Academic Term For All Schools Will Begin On August 29, 2021
Winter Break For 2021- 2022
In 2021, both public and private schools across all curriculums will have a three-week break for winters. The holidays will commence on December 12 and will end on December 30, 2021. All the schools will resume on January 2.
Spring Break for 2022
Private and Public schools that follow the Ministry of Education Curriculum will get a three-week break from March 27 to April 14. And the school will resume after spring break on April 17. Whereas, when it comes to private schools in Dubai following a foreign curriculum will either have a three-week break like other schools or will have a two-week break. Kids who opt for a two-week break can take a one-week break later in the year.

In 2022, all kids will get a winter break for three weeks. From December 11 to January 1, 2023, kids will have their holidays. Kids across all curriculums will resume school on January 2, 2023.

Private and Public schools that follow the Ministry of Education Curriculum will get a three-week break from March 26 to April 13. And the school will resume after spring break on April 16. Whereas, when it comes to private schools in Dubai following a foreign curriculum will either have a three-week break like other schools or will have a two-week break. Kids who opt for a two-week break can take a one-week break later in the year.
The final day of the spring term of 2023 has not been confirmed yet, but summer breaks for all UAE schools must not exceed 8.2 weeks.
