‘A Spot On My Bucket List’, Anand Mahindra Praises Mumbai’s Elevated Nature Trail; Netizens React

Anand Mahindra, Chairman of the Mahindra Group, took to X to express his admiration for a trip to the newly opened Elevated Nature Trail in Mumbai. Sharing a video, he wrote that this unique trail in Malabar Hill allows Mumbaikars to experience nature without venturing far from home. His excitement mirrored that of many who welcome this green move as a breath of fresh air in the city.

Mumbai Has An Elevated Nature Trail

A short video shared on X by @mybmc provides one with a glance of the tranquil road. Anand Mahindra retweeted that video on X and wrote, “‘Here’s one spot on my bucket list that I KNOW I will visit…”

Developed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the Elevated Nature Trail is located between the peaceful surroundings of Kamla Nehru Park and Firozeshah Mehta Garden on Malabar Hill. Inspired by Singapore’s ‘Tree Top Walk’, India’s first-of-its-kind trail provides a unique natural experience well above the ground.

The walkway takes visitors through the lush tree canopies, with a bird’s-eye view of the surrounding flora. It’s not only a relaxation area but also an effort to reconnect people with nature in the midst of the concrete jungle. The path is wheelchair friendly, providing access for everyone who loves nature.

One Step Towards Green Urban Living

The raised pathway is sure to be an abode of morning strollers, children, families, and tourists alike. With wooden bridges, shaded areas, and viewing points, the trail reflects the city’s growing commitment to sustainable and mindful urban development.

The Elevated Nature Trail also helps to make Mumbai greener, increasing biodiversity and promoting a healthier environment. Projects such as these are not just about making the city pretty — they symbolise a transformation in how the city plans for well-being and environmental harmony.

Since opening, the trail has seen an overwhelmingly positive response. Residents and nature enthusiasts are already planning to use it as part of their weekend trips.

Social media has been abuzz with compliments and admiration, with people hoping more such eco-friendly initiatives are introduced in other Mumbai areas. One user wrote, ‘Feels like being in a rainforest, but right in South Mumbai’. Another added, “This is epic … i didn’t know Mumbai had beautiful trails like this.”
