It is worth noting that the passenger traffic at Sharjah International Airport grew 84.73 per cent, to more than 13 million passengers in 2022. This is closer to the pre-pandemic levels of 13.6 million passengers in 2019, which was drastically affected during the pandemic. This is particularly in line with the UAE announcement of making 2023 the ‘Year of Sustainability’. In fact, there’s an expectation of Sharjah airport attracting five passenger planes and several freight flights.

Well, we can certainly imagine the ease with which we will be able to travel from this airport, once the technology is introduced, what about you?
