After Free Coffee, Dubai Metro Offers Free Ice Cream To Cool You Down This Summer

Dubai’s morning commute can be a scorching affair, with the sun beating down and temperatures rising. But fear not, as the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has a sweet surprise to cool you down. Following the success of their free coffee initiative in June, where commuters at Mashreq, Business Bay, and Jabal Ali metro stations enjoyed complimentary coffee, the RTA now offers free ice cream at select metro stations.

Ice Cream Giveaway Details At Dubai Metro

This delightful giveaway is a limited-time offer, so mark your calendars and don’t miss out. On Wednesday, July 10, and Thursday, July 11, from 11 am to 1 pm, passengers can grab a free ice cream cone at the following locations:

  1. Wednesday, July 10: Mashreq and Ibn Battuta Metro Stations
  2. Thursday, July 11: Equiti and ONPASSIVE Metro StationsChoose from a variety of flavours, including the indulgent Balou Balou chocolate cone, the rich butterscotch King Cone, and a delightful cookies and cream treat. Whether you’re on your way to work or heading out for a day of adventure, these icy delights will make your journey a bit more enjoyable.

A Metro Ride Full of Surprises

The RTA isn’t just stopping at ice cream. The Dubai Metro experience is filled with hidden gems that many passengers might overlook. From fresh orange juice stations to stunning artworks and even co-working spaces, the metro offers much more than just a ride.

The Government of Dubai has ambitious plans for the metro system. By 2030, Dubai will have 96 metro stations spanning over 140 square kilometres. Ultimately, the lines will cover an impressive 228 square kilometres. This expansion aims to make commuting more efficient and enjoyable for all passengers.
