Seychelles opened its doors to vaccinated international tourists recently. This includes fully vaccinated Indian travellers with proof of Covid-19 vaccination. And now, Seychelles is not the only beach destination to do this. The Bahamas also welcomes fully vaccinated visitors from across the world. The Bahamas opened its doors to vaccinated visitors from May 1. Fully vaccinated tourists to the Bahamas who passed the 2-week immunity period are exempted from testing requirements for entry and inter-island travel. Here’s everything you must know.
The Bahamas Welcomes All Fully Vaccinated Tourists Without Covid Tests
The Bahamas recently announced entry protocols and public health measures for fully vaccinated travellers. They confirmed that “effective May 1, 2021, international visitors travelling to the Bahamas from other countries who are fully vaccinated and have passed the two-week immunity period will be exempt from testing requirements for entry and inter-island travel.” So if you’re fully vaccinated and have passed the 2-week immunity test, then you don’t need to take mandatory Covid tests.

Necessary Documents To Travel To The Bahamas
Fully vaccinated travellers must apply for the Bahamas Travel Health Visa. They also need to upload proof of vaccination with their application. The updated travel advisory reveals that unvaccinated travellers above the age of 10 must continue following the existing entry requirements. This includes showing proof of negative RT-PCR test taken no more than 5 days before arrival. Apart from this, people staying longer than 4 nights and 5 days will have to undergo rapid COVID-19 antigen testing.

How Can You Apply For The Bahamas Travel Health Visa?
If you want to travel to the Bahamas, then first visit the website, click on the international tab and apply for their Bahamas Travel Health Visa. Do remember that the visa takes around 48 hours to process. It’s mandatory to opt for a Covid-19 health insurance cover during the duration of stay in the country. The cost of the insurance is included in the Travel Health Visa application fee, this depends on the length of the stay. Apart from Seychelles and the Bahamas, Iceland and the British Islands also made it easier for vaccinated travellers to visit.
