Air India Express is committed to providing the best travel experience to its flyers. To uphold this very commitment, the airline has launched AIX Connect. It is India’s first virtual interline platform that allows passengers to book their flights for long journeys with more than one airline. Here are all of the other important details that you would need to know about this new virtual platform by Air India Express.

According to a press release which was recently shared by Air India Express, AIX Connect will offer a wider range of booking options to passengers. With the platform, travellers can book one leg of the journey with Air India Express and the other with their partner airlines, i.e. Scoot.

The Chief Commercial Officer of Air India Express, Ankur Garg, says, “As Air India Express strengthens its footprint across domestic and international markets, we are strategically leveraging virtual interline partnerships to unlock new destinations with seamless connectivity to the East and West. We welcome Scoot as our first airline partner on this platform and look forward to onboarding more airlines, which will be instrumental in expanding the network further to cater to the growing outbound travel demand from India, while simultaneously enhancing inbound tourism by attracting international travellers to our vibrant nation.”

A low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines Group, Scoot is poised to provide seamless connections in long-distance journeys to flyers.
