AirAsia India Reduces Extra Baggage Fees By Half For Those Taking International Flights

Shelling out extra money every time for the extra baggage we tend to carry is upsetting. But this time, even though you have some excess luggage, you will not need to throw in a couple of ₹500 for every additional KG. AirAsia comes to the rescue of travellers who wish to take in a few extra kilos without having to pay a bomb. Air Asia India has announced major discounts on extra baggage fees for international flight travellers until June 30.

Here’s What You Need To Know On AirAsia India

The flyers can book their extra baggage in advance at the cost of ₹100 per kg compared to the standard charges of ₹450 per kg. However, the price goes up to ₹500 per kg when booked at the airport. When Can You Book?

To avail the discounted extra baggage rates, one can book up to two hours before the flight’s departure time.

About AirAsia India

At the moment, Air Asia India is not operating any international flights. Tata Sons Pvt Ltd holds a significant share of this company of almost 83.67%. The remaining percentage is with the Air Asia Investment Ltd, a part of Malaysia’s AirAsia group. In April, Air India submitted a proposal to the Competition Commission of India to take over Air Asia India.
