According to the Chief Retail Officer Of Al Dar Properties, throughout the malls, customers will witness a completely redesigned façade. Visitors can expect a new valet parking space and drop-off locations. The common areas that include hallways, welcome desks, amenities, and the introduction of digital way-finding technologies, will undergo a complete renovation.

Aldar began a refurbishment plan for Al Hamra Mall after purchasing it in February 2022. The project includes renovating the façade, extending the food and beverage services, and adding more popular brands. The construction is already underway, stages are complete and we anticipate it to be complete by mid-2024.

This is a significant step forward for the region’s retail and lifestyle hotspots, after the redevelopment of Abu Dhabi’s Yas Mall during the last two years. It improved the mall’s client experience, operational efficiency, and profitability. Following this achievement, the business intends to use its hands-on asset management expertise to recreate comparable superior performance for Al Jimi Mall and Al Hamra Mall, enhancing their financial operational performance and asset values.

We expect some major transformation from this redevelopment program by Al Dar Properties.
