Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City is a comprehensive film production facility. It is the largest film studio complex in the world, covering 1,666 acres, according to Guinness World Records. Ramoji Rao, a media entrepreneur and film producer, came up with the idea for the film city because he wanted to create a studio that was comparable to those in Hollywood.

The studio provides backdrops including gardens, hotels, train stations, airports, flat buildings, houses and factories, among others. For the many film units that are shooting at any one moment, there is a central kitchen. The film city also contains 6 hotels, 47 sound stages, and permanent sets that range from temples to train stations. There are 8,000 agents and roughly 1,200 staff in the movie city.

Additionally, the film city distributes 400–500 films annually in several Indian languages. It has the potential to support 15 shots on any given day.
