Amid this respite, heatwaves will continue to torment states like West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, and parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Also, intermittent rain with thunderstorms and hail lashed several parts of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday morning and is likely to continue till tomorrow. This comes after the state received fresh snowfall on Saturday. This has caused the temperature to go down significantly in Himachal Pradesh. It also led to the closure of around 60 roads like Atal Tunnel-Rohtang Pass, Gramphu-Losar, and Darcha-Sarchu.
