We have heard stories from our grandparents and parents about using surahi to store and cool down the water. Using a surahi for daily purposes has been continuing for so many decades. If you visit any villages at this moment, there is a high chance that you will find these clay pots at some houses. Anand Mahindra shares how surahi is not only a better option in terms of aesthetics and design, but it is also better for the planet. This also has the potential to become a premium lifestyle accessory.

Here’s Why Surahi Is A Better Option:

  • Refrigerators are costly. You need to shell out thousands to purchase a decent refrigerator. With more features, it gets more expensive. While all you need is about ₹200 to buy a surahi.
  • Surahi lasts for many many years. You can use it for decades and even pass it on to the next generation.
  • Neither it consumes any electricity, nor do you need to spend a lot for maintenance purposes.
  • It is quite compact and portable too.
