More often than not, the designs of airports seem ubiquitous. Similar glass and steel structures though seem cool, can still get boring to experience. Recently, the expansion and revamping of the Kolhapur Airport was completed. The Indian Business Tycoon, Anand Mahindra, took to his social media and lauded the architecture of the airport. Anand Mahindra Lauds The Architecture Of Kolhapur Airport

Anand Mahindra frequently shares news and updates regarding various infrastructure projects that are going on in the country. He recently reshared some pictures of the newly revamped Kolhapur Airport on X (formerly known as Twitter).

Officially known as Chhatrapati Rajaram Maharaj Airport or the CRMA, it is a domestic airport. While resharing the pictures, Anand Mahindra lauded its unique architecture that pays tribute to the local history.

He went on to say that he was happy to see an airport that has a unique architecture. He said that it was refreshing to see an airport that did not have a glass and steel design that made it seem as if all airports were churned out in an assembly line.

Netizens Stunned By The Amazing Pictures Of The Airport

Many Netizens, too, were pleasantly surprised by the photos and were happy that its architecture incorporated local Maharashtrian design and themes. Another user responded to the post by sharing stunning pictures of the Tiruchirapalli Airport in Tamil Nadu.

It, too, had similarly incorporated local architectural styles into the design of the terminal building and it looked simply amazing.
