In his recent post on X (formerly Twitter), he posted a campaign by a local restaurant in Chennai that gave ‘IPL’ a foodie turn. Playing with the acronym of the widely popular Indian Premier League, this restaurant launched its own ‘Idly Premier League’ to celebrate World Idli Day and it caught Anand Mahindra’s attention. He posted about the same on his social media handle.

It was World Idli Day recently and a restaurant in Chennai, Geetham, celebrated it by running a unique campaign that they creatively called ‘Idly Premier League.’ This creative wordplay on the Indian Premier League, especially with the cricket fever high in the country, caught the attention of Anand Mahindra who posted about the ‘Idly Premier League’ campaign and applauded the restaurant’s creativity. The chairman of Mahindra Group took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a picture of the campaign and said, “There’s no stopping Indian creativity in marketing.”

In his caption, he further mentioned that “this ‘IPL’ gets the highest ratings on a Sunday morning.” And since there is no denying the deliciousness of South Indian breakfast, we totally agree with his observation!
