Andhra Pradesh Records Fresh Covid-19 Infections
In Andhra Pradesh, some Covid-19 cases have been reported. As per NDTV, between June 26 and July 16, Health Commissioner G Veerapandian revealed that 12 Covid-19 cases were reported. Among these patients, four people died. Officials said they had underlying health conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, kidney-related issues, and other illnesses.
The first Covid-19 case of 2026 in Andhra Pradesh was reported on June 26 in Kadapa district. Between July 1 and July 16, health authorities detected 11 more infections. Two of these patients contracted the virus after coming into close contact with infected individuals.

Which District Reported The Most Covid-19 Cases?
Kadapa in Andhra Pradesh recorded eight Covid-19 cases. According to NDTV, Guntur recorded two cases, while Visakhapatnam and Kakinada reported one case each. Health officials said the Covid-19 cases were not linked to one specific place or group.
The Health Department also shared testing data from June 26 to July 15. Authorities conducted 67 Covid-19 tests in Andhra Pradesh. Out of these, 11 samples tested positive. The 12th case was identified at Christian Medical College (CMC) in Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
Three people are under home isolation, while two are receiving treatment in hospitals. Another three patients have recovered and been discharged. Across India, a total of 339 Covid-19 cases have been recorded.
