Worse, it can cause harmful effects on your health. So, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) took to the Internet, a while back to help you identify adulterated tea and avoid consuming it.

So, to check adulteration in your tea, first, take a piece of filter paper. Next, spread tea leaves all over the filter paper. Then sprinkle a little water on it and ensure the filter paper with the tea leaves gets wet. Then, wash the paper with tap water. Then, observe if the filter paper has any stains. You can check it out under the light.

Unadulterated tea will not leave any stains behind. However, if your tea is adulterated then the tea leaves shall leave black-brown spots on it. So, with this simple experiment, you can find out if your tea leaves are pure or adulterated. It’s so easy to spot its authenticity.

Tea Filled With Artificial Flavours & Colours Causes Liver Issues
